Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a rare species found in Bahia. The tree found was 18 meters tall. It produces red/brown skinned oval fruits. The skin is easy to break away from the white flesh that is sweet with a little acidity. The taste is similar to tamarind according to the collector. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
