Psidium Robustum

$15.00
sold out

Robustum (Araza Grande) is a rare tropical fruit and a close relative of guava. Our seeds were sourced from a grower in Brazil because they are so difficult to find stateside. While a tropical/subtropical tree, psidiums in general are quite cold hardy. Ideal for zones down to 9a or even colder climates if afforded winter protection. This species is very tough (hence the name “robustum”) hardy down to 26-27F and can take long periods of drought once established. This species is practically unknown outside of it native Brazil where it is called arazá-açú or arazá da areia
