This species was imported as seed from Brazil. This is a very rare species of Plinia Jaboticaba found recently in Bahia Brazil. It was found growing around 15 meters in height, or 49 feet. This is a species that should be able to be kept small in cultivation, or ever grown in containers. The fruits are a nice red/orange color when fully ripe, with a very nice sweet flavor. The fruits also have a nice fragrance to them. The tree was found growing in clay soils. Seeds are viable and beginning to germinate. Will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
