Plinia Sp de Umbigo - GERMINATED

Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a Jaboticaba discovered in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. The tree gets rather large, as you can see from the photos. It fruits in clusters, starting out green and then turning a dark purple/black when fully ripe. The fruit have a tear drop shape and are enjoyed by all that have tried them. They say the fruit is sweet like most Jaboticaba but have a unique flavor profile. The tree is in an area that can see temps as low as -3 degrees Celsius (26F), so it should cold hardy and be able to take some slight frosts. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
