Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a specie native to the Santa Catrina & South Parana State in Brazil. This species grows in the mountains, making it cold hardy down to -2/-3 degrees Celsius. The fruits are sweet and have a good flavor, but not much pulp. The new growth of the tree has a beautiful red color, making it very ornamental. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
