Seeds were imported in Brazil. This is a specie found in Santa Catarina Brazil. It is a very rare Myrcia that produces a a taste fruit that ripens to a dark purple color. The flesh is plentiful, juicy, and sweet. Anthocyanins seep into the pulp, creating purple streaks as shown in the photos. The fruits are yellow/red when first forming. The tree found was under 8 feet tall. Seeds are germinating and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
