Also called Blue Pitangão and Blue Bush Fruit Hamber. The fruits don't have much pulp, but they taste like Pitanga and Grumixama, a sweet-tart, acidic flavor. The tree is slow growing, but its appearance is very ornamental, especially when it's bearing fruit. Seeds are oblong (longer than wide) and hold germinating power for up to 4 months if they are cleaned correctly. The plants begin fruiting at 4 to 7 years. This was found in Joinville.
