Eugenia involucrata "Scarlet Pear" variety of Cherry of the Rio Grande - COTRG

This is a hard-to-find variety of cherry of the Rio Grande (COTRG), it had beautiful red colored new growth as shown in one of the photos above, reddish hue to bark, and red fleshed fruits! This tree produces a fruit with a much redder flesh, than the regular COTRG and the fruits are more round, that is where the "Pear" comes from in the name. This tree produces very tasty fruit in abundance! Expect the quality of fruit to be superior than that of the normal COTRG. The plant photographed is an example of the plant you will recieve, it will not be the same plant but it will be close in size.
