Eugenia Cuprea

Seeds were imported directly from Brazil. This is a small tree from Santa Catarina. The source of the seeds claim the fruit is very sweet, and does not have any astringency. The tree can produce fruit in as little as four years from seed. The fruits turn red to almost black when they are fully ripe. The collector also reports the tree can withstand -5 Celsius (23 Fahrenheit). They also say the tree produces very well in hot weather. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
