It has simple and alternate leaves, 6-14 x 3-6 cm, oblong, obovate, or elliptic, with pointed or cuspid apex, entire edges and acute or rounded base. Petiole 0.3-1 cm long. It produces cream or yellowish colored flowers, grouped in axillary fascicles. The fruits are globose berries, 1.8-3 cm long, green, turning red or black when ripe. The fruit can be eaten with the peel and are enjoyed out of hand. The skin is a dark purple, and the flesh a re/purple color. It is juicy, sweet, and succulent. Seeds are very fresh, and a few are already starting to germinate. Will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
