This tree belongs to the family of the Rutaceae that reaches a size of 2 to 10 m of wide crown height. Leaves composed of 3 to 5 leaflets in the form of an open hand of bright green color. Monoecious species with hermaphrodite, fragrant flowers, composed of 5 greenish-yellow or whitish petals. Its fruit is a drupe, measuring 6 to 10 cm wide and rich in vitamin A and C are yellowish with a sweet white pulp, resembling an apple and has between 2 and 5 seeds. The edible pulp can vary in flavor from bland to banana, peach, pear and vanilla; and can be creamy white in green or yellow-skinned beige varieties in yellow-skinned varieties, and features a smooth texture similar to ripe avocado. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
