Campomanesia Xanthocarpa

Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a semi-deciduous tree with a tall, dense, pyramid-shaped crown, ranging in height from 4 - 20 meters. The grooved bole can be 30 - 50cm in diameter. The edible fruits are greatly appreciated and are eaten out of hand, it is gathered from the wild and also cultivated in home gardens and orchards. It is often sold on roadsides in Brazil and is known to fruit around six years old. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
