The short, cylindrical bole is 20 - 30cm in diameter. The plant is sometimes gathered from the wild for local use of its fruit and wood. It can be used as a pioneer for restoring native woodland and establishing woodland gardens. An ornamental plant, it can be used in landscaping. The fruit is consumed out of hand. It has a succulent pulp. The globose, green to yellow fruits are about 10mm in diameter, containing a few glandulous seeds. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
