Agouti - Couepia Edulis

Agouti (Couepia edulis (Prance)) is a fibrous fruit found in the Western Amazon containing a very tasty almond that the caboclos of that region usually consume. The trees grow naturally only within a small area of Brazil. The tree is around 25 meters (82 feet) tall, with entire leaves that are oval or round, measuring three or four inches (8 to 10 centimeters) in diameter. The seed you will receive is the nut itself, they are very large. They are elongated and are 3 inches in length.
