Seeds were imported from Brazil. These were sourced from Andres. Place of occurrence – Northeast region of Brazil in the state of Bahia. This is a tree measuring 2-3 meters in height. The fruits are purple, and have a very evident crown. The fruits are small, juicy and very tasty, with a little acidity. One of the most beautiful jabuticabas Andres says he has ever found. We were unable to obtain any information regarding when this species may start to fruit from seed. Due to its small size, this should be a great species to grow in containers. Seeds are germinated and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
