Myrciaria aff. plinioides is a rare and ornamental Myrciaria from the Atlantic Forest (Mata Atlântica) of Bahia, Brazil. While it closely resembles Myrciaria plinioides, this species is restricted to southern Bahia, far from the natural range of its namesake, making it a unique regional variant.
The tree produces small, dark blue fruits roughly 1–2 cm in diameter, with juicy, flavorful pulp that is sweet and reminiscent of classic jaboticaba. Its compact size and attractive fruit make it well-suited for both ornamental plantings and container cultivation, while the deep blue fruit adds a striking visual element to any collection.
Seeds are sold in packs of one. They are shipped in humid vermiculite.
