Glycydendron Espiritosantense

$20.00
sold out

This species was imported as seed from Brazil. This is a rare Brazilian nut found in Una Bahia Brazil. This species grows to 20 meters in height, and produces oval shaped yellow fruits when ripe. The pulp is edible, however there is not much of it, and it is bland and basically tasteless. The price of this species is the seed itself, which is cracked and the insides are eaten out of hand. The nut inside tastes similar to almonds and is highly prized in this region. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
