Seeds were imported from Brazil. A tree approximately 5 meters tall, producing sweet fruits with non-astringent skin. The fruits have a unique velvety skin that is a grayish-blue color. This is a small species that can be kept in a container. The bottom of the fruit, where the bloom once was, resembles a crown when fully ripe, earning it the nickname "King" given by the collector. It was also named "King" because it was one of their favorite flavored Eugenias. Found in Una, Bahia. Una, Bahia, has a tropical climate with warm temperatures and high humidity year-round. It falls within USDA Hardiness Zones 10-11, with minimum average temperatures ranging from 30°F to 40°F (-1°C to 4°C), similar to parts of southern Florida and Hawaii. Seeds are shipped in humid vermiculite.
