The seedlings display strikingly beautiful leaf patterns, which gradually transition to a uniform green as the plant matures. The species produces vibrant orange fruits that are sweet and enjoyable to eat fresh. Mature trees have been observed reaching heights of up to 18 meters. This Eugenia thrives in a warm, humid tropical climate with high rainfall and well-drained soil. It is best suited to USDA hardiness zones 10–12, where temperatures remain above freezing year-round.
