The fruits are similar to that of Abiu, but with smaller fruits. Some sources claim the flavor is even better than Abiu. This is a Great hardwood tree and fruit tree. It is found growing in Lowland rain forests, in areas subject to seasonal inundation and also in areas free from flooding; at elevations up to 600 meters.
