Pouteria sp Várzea

Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a rare Pouteria found in the AM várzea area. The fruit can be eaten out of hand, and has a sweet acidic flavor. The fruit is much better though, made into ice cream. The fruit ripens to a green/brown color, and contains a caramel colored juicy flesh. The tree found was 8+ feet tall. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
