Peritassa Laevigata

Seeds were imported from Brazil, and some of these are starting to germinate. The native range of this species is Costa Rica, Trinidad-Tobago to S. Tropical America. It is a scrambling shrub or tree and grows primarily in the wet tropical biome. It produces delicious fruits with a firm orange-yellow skin, with juicy pulp and a sweet taste, making them very pleasant for eating out of hand. These seeds are from Edilson Giacon's fruit collection in Limeira-SP. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
