Seeds were imported from Brazil. Endemic to the Atlantic Forest, mainly from the dense rainforest, occurring from the state of São Paulo to Rio Grande do Sul, also appearing in Bahia, Brazil. A beautiful, large tree reaching 20 to 30 m in the middle of the preserved forest. If cultivated, this species can grow from 12 to 19 m in height. Its canopy in the forest is cylindrical and narrow and the branches are delicately rhythmic (with the pattern of the apex being arched upwards). The fruits can be consumed fresh and highly appreciated, having the same flavor and texture as Nectarine. The flowers produce a large amount of nectar and pollen. The fruits attract different species of birds and animals, and because they are also very rare, they need to be cultivated by collectors to avoid becoming extinct. Seeds are shipped in humid vermiculite.
