Seeds were imported from Brazil. This specie can be found in semi-deciduous forests (which loses its leaves at one time of the year) and Atlantic forest from Minas Gerais to Rio Grande do Sul. Tree with a straight trunk, which grows from 5 to 15 m tall, forming a cup-shaped canopy. The trunk is slender and has grayish, corky bark that peels off in long, narrow plates at the end of summer. The leaves are simple, elongated with yellowish cream veins. It is the largest tree in the Annonaceas family, and trees with 26m high in the north of the state of Paraná. The gelatinous pulp is cream colored, very tasty and must be separated from the casing and seed; This is achieved by removing the skin from the fruit and blending the entire mass in a pulper. Once separated, the pulp can be frozen for future use or used to make juices, smoothies, ice creams, quinces, biscuits, biscuits, cakes and in the form of yogurt with curdled milk. Seeds are shipped in humid vermiculite.
