Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a semi-deciduous tree that can grow up to 20-40 meters, or 65-130 feet tall. It is a tree not under cultivation, nor abundant in the wild. The ripe fruits are collected locally from the ground or from the trees for consumption. They are eaten out of hand, or with milk. The yellowish green fruits contain a sweet farinaceous pulp that surrounds 1-2 seeds. Seeds are viable and will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
