Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a mutation of Malay Apple (Syzygium malalaccense) which instead of being purple skinned, lacks the red pigment and is completely white. Hence this cultivar is named 'Album' (means white in Latin). It's very flavorful like the purple skinned types of Syzygium malaccense.
